About

The Centre for Policy Research (CPR) has been one of India’s leading public policy think tanks since 1973. The Centre is a non-profit, independent institution dedicated to conducting research that contributes to a more robust public discourse about the structures and processes that shape life in India. CPR engages around five broad themes, and faculty and their research often span several of these topics

The Urbanisation Focus Area at CPR is a research platform exploring India’s urbanisation challenge. It aims to initiate and influence policy debates on urban issues such as governance, economics, social inclusion and ecology of the Indian city.
